Mini Symposium

Thursday February 22nd 2007

The event was held at the offices of Premium Ingredients at 4th Floor, Cap House, Long Lane, London.

We were proud to present a varied programme of three speakers, a light lunch and the chance to exchange views and ideas on the topics discussed. Topics on the day included:

The EU regulatory system and how to survive it!

Joy Harding OBE

As we all struggle to make sense of European legislation, Joy gave us an insight into dealing and working with the bureaucracy.

Small Scale Distillation of Essential Oils with a View to Agricultural Diversification.

Bruce Dolby

Bruce's subjects for discussion included: what is meant by small-scale distillation? Why there is now a need from both a producer's and a consumers perspective. The pros and cons of UK production, Outlay and future prospects.

Sense appeal: the feelings behind the facts

Kate Scally

The aim of Kate's session was to provide an insight into why women do what they do and why perhaps the sensory pleasure of a fabulous fragrance and great-tasting food brings so much pleasure and can enhance mood.

By listening to what they are saying now we can provide you with better understanding of how to talk to them in the future.

After each speaker there was an opportunity to ask questions and the whole session was informal and encouraged participation.

The event was an excellent opportunity to meet with other members and to exchange views and ideas on how we can make our organisation meet your expectations.
