WFFC UK AGM - Wednesday 7th July 2010

Venue: Chelsea Physic Garden, 66 Hospital Road, Chelsea, SW3 4HS, London

This year the WFFC UK has selected a fascinating and unique venue to host its AGM and seminar. Situated in the heart of London, this 'Secret Garden' is a centre of education, beauty and relaxation. Founded in 1673 by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries, it continues to research the properties, origins and conservation of over 5000 plant species.

The Chelsea Physic Garden has developed a major role in public education focusing on the renewed interest in natural medicine. The Garden of World Medicine which is Britain's first garden of ethnobotany (or the study of the botany of different ethnic groups and indigenous peoples) is laid out together with a new Pharmaceutical Garden.

The nearest tube station is Sloane Square (District and Circle lines).

When leaving Sloane Square tube station, cross the road in front of you, turn left into Lower Sloane Street. At the traffic lights turn right into Royal Hospital Road and continue, past the National Army Museum on your left. Cross Tite Street and then turn left into Swan Walk - where the public entrance is for open days.

We are also delighted to be able to have a speaker who will offer us an insight into the beverage world. Fever-tree is regarded as the market leader in premium mixers developed specifically to complement the world of quality spirits which need a quality mixer! The company was created by Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow and we are privileged to have Tim to speak for us at our AGM.

It is Charles and Tim’s desire to source the finest raw materials and achieve and maintain the exact flavour profile that makes all the difference when a Fever-Tree mixer is poured into a glass. As a result of this dedication to quality the business has grown at an exponential rate, launched in 2005, Fever-Tree has pioneered a new drinks category worldwide, is sold in 22 countries, already used exclusively in 7 out of 10 of the world's best restaurants, its tonic water is even served as a dish in El Bulli the world’s best restaurant. They have won numerous awards for product quality, packaging and is even listed as one of the UK’s top 50 coolest brands.

Tim will deliver a speech entitled:

“Three quarters of your G&T is tonic, so it had better be good”
